Men's Skincare — Skin Factory | Since 2020
— § 01 / MEN'S SKINCARE · PASADENA —

Skin that looks like you actually take care of it.

A clinical-holistic facial studio in Old Town Pasadena, built around the guy who's never had a facial — and the one with a six-step routine and a Reddit habit.

— § 02 / THE THESIS —

Men's skin gets treated like an afterthought. It isn't.

Most studios were built around a different client. The language is soft, the rooms are pink, the recommendations assume a ten-step routine and a tolerance for lavender oil. None of that is wrong — it's just not built for you.

Skin Factory is. Thirteen years licensed, six years running an all-inclusive model, three thousand-plus facials. The room is quiet. The approach is clinical-holistic. The recommendations are the ones I'd actually follow myself.

No spa-pink language. No shame about not knowing what a serum is. No upsells in the room.

— § 03 / WHAT WE TREAT —

Built for the way men's skin actually behaves.

Thicker dermis, more sebaceous activity, daily mechanical trauma from shaving. The concerns are specific. The protocols should be too.

N° 01

Post-shave irritation

Inflamed jawline, neck, and beard zone from daily blade contact. Barrier repair, calming actives, and a shave routine you'll actually keep.

N° 02

Ingrown hairs

Recurring papules and pigmentation along the beard line. Manual extraction, enzymatic exfoliation, and the protocol to keep them from coming back.

N° 03

Beard-zone breakouts

Congestion trapped under facial hair. Targeted cleansing, decongesting masks, and home-care that doesn't require a vanity full of product.

N° 04

Texture & congestion

Roughness, blackheads, enlarged pores. Hydrodermabrasion, chemical exfoliation, and extractions done right.

N° 05

Dullness & fatigue

The "I look tired even when I'm not" face. Microcurrent, LED, and circulation-driven protocols to bring tone and clarity back.

N° 06

Pigmentation & sun damage

Uneven tone, sunspots, post-inflammatory marks. Performance peels and a corrective home routine that compounds over a season.

— § 04 / THE DIFFERENCE —

Why this isn't just a facial.

Same chair. Same standard. No add-ons, no upsells, no surprises at checkout.

N° 01

One operator. One chair.

Every treatment, start to finish, is done by me. No hand-offs to an assistant. No rotating providers. The person who assessed your skin is the person treating it.

N° 02

Everything included.

LED, microcurrent, dermaplaning, extractions, masks, infusion — every modality is built into the service. No "want me to add the LED for $40?" while you're lying there.

N° 03

Clinical, not sterile.

The middle ground between dermatology and a typical day spa. Results-driven protocols, holistic sensibility, zero performative wellness.

N° 04

Devices most studios don't have.

Zemits Brand Ambassador stack — plasma, hydrodermabrasion, RF, LED, microcurrent. The equipment is real. The protocols are sequenced.

N° 05

Home-care you'll actually do.

A short, specific routine — not a ten-step regimen. If you'll only commit to three products, we'll find the right three.

N° 06

No upsells. Ever.

The price you book is the price you pay. The recommendation you get is the one that's right, not the one with the highest margin.

— § 05 / NEVER HAD A FACIAL? —

Here's what actually happens.

Most first-time guys book the 80-minute. Long enough for a real assessment, short enough that you're not committed to a two-hour Tuesday.

STEP 01

Walk in.

Private studio, seventh floor. No reception desk, no waiting room of strangers. Just you, the chair, and the work.

STEP 02

Assessment.

Five minutes of actual questions. What's bothering you, what you've tried, what your shave routine looks like. No upsell script.

STEP 03

The work.

Cleanse, exfoliate, extract, treat, infuse, massage. Every modality the session calls for. Eyes closed. Phone in your pocket.

STEP 04

The plan.

A short home-care routine, written down. The next appointment if your skin needs one. No pressure if it doesn't.

— § 06 / WHICH ELEMENT —

Five elements. One chair. Pick by time.

Every service is all-inclusive. The only real difference is how much time we have on your face.

— § 07 / QUESTIONS —

Things most guys want to ask but don't.

I've never had a facial. What should I book?
The 80-minute CORRECT. Long enough for a real assessment and a full treatment, short enough that you're not over-committed on a first visit.
Do I need to shave before I come in?
Whatever's normal for you. If you keep a beard, come in with the beard. If you shaved that morning, that's fine too. I'll work around what's there.
Will it hurt?
Extractions can be uncomfortable for about a minute at a time. Everything else is genuinely relaxing. Most guys fall asleep at some point.
Will my face be red afterward?
A little flush is normal for an hour or two. If you have a meeting or a date right after, book a morning slot and you'll be fine by lunch.
I don't have a skincare routine. Is that a problem?
No. Honestly, it's easier — there's nothing to undo. You'll leave with a short, specific routine. Three products if you want three. Five if you want five.
How often should I come back?
Every four to six weeks for active correction. Every six to eight for maintenance. If you only come once a year, that's still better than zero.

Come in. Leave better.

One chair. By appointment. Old Town Pasadena.
